Sunday school

Sunday School

Sunday school here at Smyrna Frihamnskyrkan is called “SMYRNA GULD” (Smyrna Gold) and is a time of Bible lessons and activities for the children during part of our regular Sunday service. The children spend the first part of the service together with their families in the main service at 11.00, and leave for Sunday school before the sermon starts. Sunday school is for children aged 5-13. The main language in Sunday school is Swedish but there are teachers who speak English and will help you feel at home.

Our main reasons for having Sunday school is that we want to show God’s love to the children, we want to teach the Word of God to them in a way that they can understand, and we want to make the time they spend in church enjoyable. This is because we want the children to get to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour, and how they can share the good news of Jesus with others.

We would love to have more people involved in Sunday school.

Perhaps you don’t feel confident in teaching, but could help in interpreting from one language to the other, or with singing, or with making and preparing crafts.

If you feel this is an area of ministry you would like to help out in please fill in the form on our contact page and we`ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Have a great week!
