”Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” Ephesians 2:20-22

Together we are a part of God ́s building that has it ́s stability in Jesus Himself.
We, that used to be thrown around and little chipped stones, can now together be a part of what the Lord is building for Himself.

We can read that we have been placed in the building by Jesus Himself, He has found us and chosen each and every one of us for a specific position and joined us to this wall that He wants to raise for His own glory.

I think about when you lay tiles, then you start by wash- ing between the tiles that are to be joined together and then you apply the joint in the space between the tiles. It`s similar to us. The Lord washes us clean with His blood and there is forgiveness that can remove the dirt that we have got between us. Then He joins us by His Holy Spirit and takes away the distance between us, in Him we have fellowship with each other – He is what joins us together.

There was a place just for me, where I fit in, a little chip- ped and warped as I am – but in His mason hands I can honour God.
When Jesus can place us in the right place, cleanse us and join us together, then the miracle occurs that what was previously a dirty pile of stones now rests against the Cornerstone and is God ́s temple.

Prayer

– Pray that whatever has come between us and our sib- lings in the Lord will be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. – Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead us closer together as God ́s people.

– Pray that the church can be built to God ́s glory.
