DAY 15 – The city and the world – the Great Commission

”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

The eleven disciples that first received the Great Com- mission were far from perfect. In the previous verse we can read how many of them at that moment doubted. Despite that, they received the great mission to give God ́s good message to all people.

It is a reoccurring pattern that God uses what is im- perfect. We can often feel inadequate in that we right now have received the baton to pass on. It ́s easy to ask ourselves: “Who am I to tell others?” But you are not alone. But I am convinced that Jesus believes in you, just like He believed in the first disciples. Apart from that you are not alone, Jesus has promised to be with you. He wants to use you. Just imagine what an amazing mission in passing on to others that there is a purpose and peace. That evil will not win and that everyone can have a relationship with God. It is also hopeful that even the insignificant can mean something, a sigh of prayer, a friendly deed or a warm word.
