Day 1- LIFE – DO NOT WORRY

”So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomor- row, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:31-34

The God of the Bible is Creator of all things. Both Spirit and Matter. This means that we can come to Him with all our needs. Spiritual, soulful and physical. Many other religions deny this. In New Testament times a teaching developed called the God of matter “Demiurgen”. He was an evil deity. His name can be translated “Crafts- man”. A bad craftsman in that case. He is active in the manufacturing of worry. We are too when we don ́t put all our lives and trust in God ́s hands. Jesus and Paul say: Don ́t worry, in other words don ́t create worry. We risk becoming ”craftsmen” that create worry out of everyth- ing: Live in a state of sickly worry regarding our assets, our health, food, clothes, our future. The production

of worry has never been profitable. Instead Jesus says: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.”
The most important thing is not how we collect the greatest treasure as possible, rather that we know where the safest placement exists. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” “All these things” is not all we demand, but all we really need. Because we have exchanged all we have into eternal currency, we do not lose everything if things might be tight on this side of eternity. Health might decline or we might even face death. As someone prayed at a meeting in Smyrna a while back: “Help us understand that it ́s not over until it ́s over, and when it ́s over it ́s still not over!”
