Raise the standards!

Happy New Year Everybody!! I know it seems a bit late to be saying this but we’re still in January and it’s really never too late to share a blessing, right?! 😉

Well, over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been chewing on my 2015 motto…raise the standards!

I have purposed to raise the standards in a few areas of my life. My deduction is that it will require lots of action; prioritising some activities, acquiring some new habits and redefining some past roles. Eventually, these actions will automatically change things towards the direction I have determined.

How do I plan to achieve all this?

I believe that being specific and pre-meditative will guide my thoughts and actions, allowing me to consciously apply myself to the vital areas of desire. In addition to this, I am aware of how important it is to be dependant on God in all things. My relationship with Him is my inspiration for all things as well as this motto. Moreover, keeping in mind that ‘the raised standards’ are not about me but about God achieving His purposes on earth through me.

In essence, it is only possible to achieve the specific ‘raised standards’  through a collaboration of God and my will; my will has to engage in action towards achieving God’s will. When God’s will and my will collide, there’s a supernatural power that is released to complete the task at hand with success.

Sure enough, general growth is inevitable through a daily relationship with God. Every day walking with The Lord is an opportunity to grow from faith to faith and from one level of glory to another. However, the rate of growth varies with the degree of one’s pursuit of God and is accelerated by a heartfelt deliberate action.

What Then?

So basically, as I gracefully take my first steps into 2015, I am fully trusting in God. I am not relying on what I think  I know but totally on Him. I am also confident to take giant steps in faith believing that He is watching over me…He neither slumbers nor sleeps. Excited!! 😀

Maybe you too need to raise your standards in order to realise and activate God’s perfect plan for your life. His plan is not static but rather actively progressive.

I encourage us to listen to God’s voice, allow His inspiration to settle in our hearts and move in faith accordingly.  The truth of the matter is that faith WITHOUT ACTION is dead! Let us be DOERS of God’s word and we will truly see things positively change, in and around us.

Let’s raise the standards!!!
