”A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes oth- ers will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
Jesus speaks again and again in a challenging way re- garding how we should handle our money and the way we perceive what is “ours”. In the sermon on the mount Jesus speaks about not collecting your treasures on earth but instead only that which has heavenly value and continues regarding that no one can serve both God and mammon. Jesus even stretches it as far as to say: “…give without expecting to get it back.”
Proverbs 3:9-10 ”Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”
People all over our city and our world are in great need and we need to partake in filling them!
Let God challenge the way you handle your finances, your time and what you own. Ask Him who you can and will bless today! Be a part of seeing God ́s kingdom reach people through your generosity.
– Pray that the Holy Spirit will form our hearts according to His generosity
