This coming Saturday night it’s time once again to adjust our clocks one hour forward and enter into what we here in Sweden call ”Summertime”, quite hilarious when you think of the mornings that can still be under the point of freezing. Regarding the subject of time, it is amazing how we can get side tracked by the many times meaningless things that don’t really matter and are not productive. We often fill our lives with so much stuff and forget about or overlook some of the most important things in life that should make life worth living.

If we are not careful we can get caught up in non-productive matters and non-stimulating conversations that have no meaning and purpose in life at all. This can result in a really bad use of time, gifts and energy. Perhaps one of the overlooked sins is our misuse of time. God has given us time to use wisely without wasting it.

We should be grateful to God for each second, minute and hour in the day. Time is a gift from the Creator and should not be taken for granted. Our thankfulness to God for the time He has given us is expressed in how we use it. If life is going to produce its best, we must sometimes decide to slow down and get out of the rat race and get an authentic picture of where we are in order to move forward and to re-adjust our lives and time, otherwise we are going to get trapped in the wheel of sameness and mediocrity.

Once time is gone and we waste our moments, we cannot get it back. One of the simplest and most powerful things we can ever do and that is use our time wisely. Great rewards come by way of using our time wisely.

Back to this coming weekends time adjustment. You are actually going to lose an hour (don’t worry, you’ll get it back later on this year), so may God help and guide you as you please, please make sure you are Time-wise.
