This month’s volunteer is Brian Katumba a young man from Uganda who has been a part of our Smyrna International family for a number of years.
Brian heads up our multimedia department and plays together with his colleagues an important role in the running of our Sunday celebration services.
Brian takes his volunteer role very seriously and he needs to if everything is going to run smoothly. He always makes sure he is on location in plenty of time in order to be able to go through the planned order of service and also to make sure the technical equipment is up and running.
Brian enjoys being a part of the ministries that together make church happen. Of course technical problems can arise and media material can sometimes turn up a lot later than it should, but Brian always has a big smile on his face and a willing heart to do his best even under stressful circumstances.
Before he leaves home to head to church, especially when he is going to be working in the media room, he says a prayer to God to send divine favor and power in whatever he is going to do. Brian makes it also a priority to do what he does not primarily for people but for God and the Church.
We would like to express a big Thank you to Brian for always being available and finding a way around situations, working with a good attitude and a smile even when he is under pressure. We are really blessed by your heart and act of service.
