The Day After Easter Sunday….

Wow! What an amazing Easter I have had. For over the past week I have been bombarded in different ways with the power of the Easter message through music, drama, teaching, dance and more.

Today, the day after Easter Resurrection Sunday, my thoughts go to the impact that Christś life, death and resurrection has had and is still having upon civilization.

A few days ago, a friend of mine wrote a comment via Facebook:

Daniel Grahn wrote: Just in time for Easter the ”Chef” magazine wrote about Jesus and his 10 greatest leadership flops. The article points out Judas as being a total recruiting mistake, that Jesus worked too hard, that women were poorly represented in his leadership team, his lack of clarity, that he never left behind a clear strategy etc. etc. As a former editor in the christian newspaper, Dagen, I initially decided to be appalled, and raise my voice against ”Chefs” shallow analysis. On the other hand I realized that the article is written with quite a dose of humour and from a secular point of view, Jesus did quite a lot of unusual things. Even as a leader. So from that perspective the magazine is correct.  But business journalists also usually assess leadership results, and how can Chef magazine explain the success of Jesus Inc. After 2000 years there are approximately 2 billion followers in His social network, we remember His death, celebrate His resurrection and live our lives trying to resemble Him. TIME magazines `Person of the Year 2014′ is the pope, one of His executive chiefs, who represents a global sound leadership. And he does no more than point to Jesus as being his greatest example of leadership. With all respect, we all make mistakes as leaders. But in this case, Jesus Inc., we actually have the result. And if results count – secular or sacred – then Jesus was one of histories greatest leaders. Maybe the greatest.”

I believe Jesus Christ WAS and IS the greatest leader. He wasn’t always easy to understand, but like my friend Daniel wrote, the results speak their own language.

Please don’t allow the happenings of Easter to have only a limited and isolated effect on your life, but rather understand that the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is definitely something that can have an amazing impact on you both now but also for the rest of your life.

Don’t keep Jesus in the grave, behind the tomb-stone.

The Easter message is that the stone is rolled away. The grave is empty. Jesus is alive and well.

So let Jesus out and let Him come in and be a part of your life.

Matthew 28:1-7
