God at work

Last week on Sunday, I woke up in the middle of the night perturbed by a dream. This got me in conversation with God in the wee hours of the night, weeping, questioning and listening to His voice and then I fell back to sleep. However, when I woke up Monday morning, the Spirit led me into a fast and I knew that God was up to something..!

He has been teaching me wondrous things, some new but mostly stuff that I already knew but had not focused on for a while, with the main topic being the HolySpirit. He then baptised me with His HolySpirit and ignited in me a fresh Kingdom passion. He continued to constantly show me people and things to pray for…

On one of the mornings in the course of the week, I  asked God for ten souls that day. As events in the day progressed, I really never encountered opportunities as I was expecting. However, later that evening, a lady at a cafe’ waved at me, beckoned me over and asked me to pray for her foot. I immediately knew it was a God-prompt and went to her, laid me hands on her foot, prayed for healing and she was instantaneously healed. The lady beside her saw what had happened and asked for prayer as well and then the next and the next and by the time I was done, I had prayed for eleven strangers. I found it quite hilarious and started asking God for twenty instead, hahaha!

I get fascinated watching God at work because it’s far beyond my imagination. (so much to say about that…)

Where am I going with all this? Well, when I started writing the first paragraph in today’s blog, it was with excitement about what God has been doing…I actually had no topic in particular. Now as I have reached this point, I want to encourage you that any time you invest in the  fellowship with other believers, listening to God’s word, it is not in vain: God is at work! When God’s word goes out and lands in your heart, be certain that it will bear fruit (unless you don’t allow it to do so).

When I back-track to last week’s sermon, the pastor encouraged us to pray for the salvation of three people in our surroundings. I really didn’t think about it after the nudge but it sure did its landing in my heart.  I thank God because of the work of His Spirit who reminds us of all things.

God is not a respecter of persons; He teaches, equips and uses anyone who is willing to be used of Him. If you are conscious of the times we are living in, then you know that God is at work! Position yourself for the work, pray for a hunger and let the HolySpirit fan into flame a new passion…and watch God at work!

Find a bible-believing, God-focused congregation and start to habitually fellowship there…in so doing, you are positioning yourself to be used of God through His Spirit, in Jesus name! If you are looking for an english speaking  congregation in Gothenburg,  you are welcome to fellowship with us every Sunday at 15:00.

Have a Spirit-filled week!!
